Czech Republic’s New Form As Per EU Social Security Regs

Czech Republic
New Regulation (EC) No. 883/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council came into force on 1 May 2010, together with implementing Regulation (EC) No. 987/2009, regarding social security and health insurance of European Union (EU) citizens migrating within the EU.
In connection with this, the Czech Social Security Administration (“the CSSA”) issued a new form “Joint application of the employee and the employer for confirming the applicability of social security regulations,” which is currently available on the CSSA’s Web site, including instructions for correct completion – the URL is: http://www.cssz.cz/NR/rdonlyres/27694059-FF91-43E1-AB63-407C36651CB9/0/spolecnazadostzamestnanceazamestnavatele.xls.
This form should be used to obtain confirmation whether the Czech social insurance system regulations should be applied to seconded employees during the period of their secondment and relating to:
• secondments commencing after 1 May 2010, which are subject to the new Regulation, and
• secondments which commenced before 1 May 2010, to which the provisions of the original Regulation can apply.
This single form can be used for various instances, such as short-term secondments, jobs carried out concurrently in several states of the EU, or as an application for the exception from foreign social security regulations relating to long-term secondments. It will only be necessary to indicate/mark what the assignment “situation” is on the first page of this form.
