The Background:
This leading organisation is actively seeking an addition to their global mobility team. Working as GM Manager you will be responsible for the on-going management of the end-to-end mobility processes and the continuous improvement of company policies and processes.
The Role:
Manage international assignments operations based on policies, procedures and guidelines
Coordinate the global mobility process between home and host base locations
Shared accountability for the overall communication of Global Mobility polices to HR business partners (HRBP)
Advise HRBP and managers on the specific contract types and concerns tied to international assignee movement
Coordinate and execute the development of expatriate contract terms for new international assignments
Administer contract terms based on review of annual total cash compensation reviews of expatriates
Facilitate the annual salary review process for international assignees incl. the revision of annual allowances based on vendor data
Establish and maintain global mobility database. Creates customize reports as requested.
Consult HRBP and assignees with respect to the offered T&C
Manage the initial and ongoing education of HRBP in regards to global mobility philosophy, assignment types, processes and procedures.
Coordinate the various tax processes with focus on improvement primarily in tax compliance, and secondarily with efficiency, employee satisfaction, and return on investment.
Coordinate monthly and annual interaction with payroll on reconciliation on a global basis
Contribute to the design of assignment policies
Shared responsibility for regular revision to the tax policy
Managing tax service vendor, negotiate SLA and T&C
Ad hoc projects on a global basis, e.g. global employment company, global benefits and additional assignment services
Coaching and day-to-day management of the GM coordinator
Consulting with respect to international hires to HRBP and recruiters globally
The Person:
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the assignment life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: expatriate tax, payroll or compensation experience would be preferable.
