The Background:

This employer of choice is actively seeking an addition within their International Mobility (IM) Team. Reporting to the HR Director the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and coordination of international assignments for employees within the company.


The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

With the support of a Rewards Specialist, providing expertise and support in key reward activities such as annual salary reviews, broad banding project, etc., rolling out the Global Compensation Programmes and providing support for the integration process on reward subject matters such as benefits integration, salary benchmarking, package proposals, approval management, reward education and integration projects.

Review, definition, communication and implementation of global mobility policies with a view to achieving consistency and clarity for stakeholders, and promoting international mobility

Involvement in the definition of international reward programmes and policies

Leading significant reward projects, including design, consultation, communication and implementation aspects in the on-going brad banding project.

Managing the development and implementation of reward processes across the Sector and/or designated business units, liaising with Group Reward policies and procedures.

Providing a reward service to designated business areas, mainly focused on providing advice and guidance on a broad range of reward issues to HR and the line.

Participation in salary surveys and other C&B studies. Regular review of market competitiveness through dedicated benchmark studies

Analysis of results and, if necessary, implementation of corrective actions where required.

Ensures that Benefits in the Regions and/or Divisions are aligned with the business strategy and general market practices.

Project manages the annual salary review process.

Support and consultant for HR in day-to-day business on banding/levelling, market data and market pricing, questions on equity, ESPP (employee stock purchase plan), pension plan, incentive plans, medical insurance, wellness programs, accident insurance, direct insurance, deferred compensation, car policies, etc.

Participation in and implementation of the global Rewards projects/processes following global guidelines as well as considering local legal requirements and negotiation and consultation requirements.

Interacts with BU's, HR, Finance, Tax, in order to understand the business environment and the legal frame in which A&D operates (lifecycles, strategies, external business conditions, etc.)
Ensures that defined or new Rewards solutions are aligned with the Group Reward Strategy as well as being market competitive.
Regular coaching and training for HR and others on Rewards topics, for example equity trainings, Pension Plan Training, Pay for Performance, etc.
Providing support to handle individual reward issues and transactions that are part of day-to-day business.
Management of all international mobility cases within in the Sector, ranging from ad-hoc short-term project assignments to permanent transfers of senior managers. This includes the preparation and negotiation of assignment letters and international employment contracts, the design of new reward packages, and the management of international tax, legal, social security, and visa issues, in co-ordination with external providers and internal contacts, internal accounting procedures, as well as the counselling of expatriates.
In this role, act as point of contact and expert advisor for the current community of about 60 expatriates, their managers, and the HR Business Partners of the Sector.


The Person:

The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the assignment management life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: HR, expatriate tax or compensation experience would be preferable however additional support will be provided if required. Applicants must be fluent Spanish and English speakers; candidates with another European language would be preferable.
