Description
An excellent opportunity has just arisen within this Global Mobility department. Working as a Global Mobility Principal Consultant you will be responsible for coordinating the assignment team for both in-bound and out-bound expatriates. You will provide advice and support in all areas related to mobility.

The Role:

The responsibilities of a Global Mobility Principal Consultant include but are not limited to the following:
Mobility management of projects, such as design and implementation of a new deployment policy within the company or design and implementation of comprehensive change process within an international company

Ensuring appropriate approvals for the assignment to proceed are in place

Preparing and keeping up to date assignment documentation in line with policy and personal circumstances, i.e. by preparing an initial assignment or transfer letter for each assignment, and any extension, re-assignment, localisation or repatriation letter

Advising assignees on assignment terms (policy, relocation benefits, tax, social security, pension, etc) to ensure full understanding and acceptance of the terms offered

Initiating relocation and other services with external provider companies and liaising with them to assist assignees/transferees with any issues

Facilitating the integration of new assignees/transferees, e.g. by immigration documentation preparation, assisting with bank account opening and induction

Liaising closely with HR colleagues and payrolls to ensure timely payroll transfers for relocating assignees

Checking and correcting payroll errors wherever necessary and communicating changes to impacted employees

Arranging for payment of UK assignment related invoices, e.g. for school fees, and ensuring amounts paid are correctly reported for tax purposes

Providing assistance from time to time with administration of assignments and transfers across the EMEA region, i.e. not UK-specific


The Person:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the field of international assignments, either global mobility or expatriate management. You will be well organised, a strong communicator, have a thirst for knowledge and self-development and possess good interpersonal skills as you will be dealing with expatriates and senior managers on a day-to-day basis.
