The Background:

Reporting to the Director of Global Mobility Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the providing the daily delivery of International Assignment services. As Global Mobility Advisor you will be the main point of contact for assignees and appointed clients and will be responsible for developing customer relationships.

The Role:

The Global Mobility Advisor will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Responsible for the daily delivery of services to Global Assignees and other cross-border employment arrangements.

Act as a key interface between the business and the Global Mobility team. The Global Mobility Adviser is the primary point of contact for their nominated customer groups and will proactively establish relationships with these customers.

Interpret and provide information and guidance on the processes and the Global Mobility Policy to Global HR staff, Global Assignees and external providers.

Understand where and when it is appropriate to deviate from the Policy, and where and when it is not appropriate.

Analyse Global Assignment compensation data following Salary Reviews/Equity reviews, interpret the results, and make appropriate recommendations to HR, Corporate Compensation and Local Compensation.

Evaluate the impact of global economic volatility on Global Assignment compensation packages and provide guidance to HR and Global Assignees.

Provide consultation to HR and Senior Line Management globally within the businesses on diverse issues, including Global Mobility strategy and policy application, tax, immigration compliance, and database interface.

Partner with the business to customise GM programmes to fit specific requirements, whilst ensuring a level of consistency across business units.

Identify process improvement activities relative to existing Global Mobility Programmes and cyclical processes.

Deliver Global Mobility-related training/communications.

Participate in multi-functional HR project teams across business areas.

Develop a good working understanding of own customer group – their business, objectives, market situation and inter-relationships.

Viewed as a subject matter expert by customers.

Partner with Executive Compensation in maintaining accurate data on Global Assignees to ensure Long Term Incentives are granted appropriately.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to minimize legal risk and risk to company reputation.

The Person:

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the assignment life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: expatriate tax, payroll or compensation experience would be preferable.
