Middle East: Immigration Offices Across the Middle East Will Close for Eid-al-Fitr
Foreign nationals and their employers can expect government office closures in the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Asia in observance of Eid-al-Fitr. In most of the world, Eid-al-Fitr is expected to be observed between August 19 and 22, though the exact dates will vary by country (depending on lunar sightings).
There could be processing delays in the weeks after Eid-al-Fitr, due to application backlogs that accumulate during this period.
Immigration offices in Bahrain, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates will be closed on the day of the Eid, expected to be August 19, and for the two following days. In Qatar and Saudi Arabia, immigration offices will be closed on the day of the Eid, also expected to be August 19, and for the two following weeks. In Pakistan, immigration offices will be closed on the day of Eid, expected to be August 20, and for the two following days.
